Alison Temple-Smith is a fully qualified osteopath and is registered with
the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the British
Osteopathic Association. She is also qualified in the use of
acupuncture needles and therapeutic ultrasound.
She has worked for many years in her own London clinic
and in Warminster. Having moved to Bath she has recently become the new proprietor of The Bath Practice, the longest established oseopathic and complementary health centre in central Bath. She specialises in adults of all ages and has a very
structural and practical approach.
Her extensive knowledge and experience enables her to
analyse your problems and diagnose your complaints using a
variety of clinical skills. If necessary these will be backed up by
referral to your GP for x-rays or other tests. Alison´s treatment
usually consists of a combination of soft-tissue releasing techniques
and some specific adjustments affecting joints, muscles,
ligaments and tendons. Acupuncture needles or ultrasound
may also be used on occasion. Advice is given on selfhelp
treatments, exercises (not too many!) and ergonomics.
Alison is recognised by all major insurance providers including BUPA ,AXA-PPP and HSA.
